SynTerra is well known for innovative solutions and reliable service to the pulp and paper industry. Our clients range from the largest in the industry to small independent mills. We are best known for our solid waste, residuals management, and groundwater capabilities, but we provide a wide range of services to the industry. Our pulp and paper work covers all major regulatory programs as well as mill environmental, health and safety initiatives, facilities design, and technical staffing.

SynTerra's innovations include the use of large-diameter geotextile tubes for wastewater treatment sludge dewatering and the use of fiber sludge landfill caps. We developed the environmental management system, including electronic calendar tool and intranet web site, for a National Environmental Performance Track mill. Our electronic response plans are in use at two major mills. We provide full-service groundwater monitoring, statistical analysis, and reporting at numerous mills.

The majority of our work is with Georgia-Pacific, International Paper, MeadWestvaco, and Alabama River Pulp. SynTerra also provides due diligence services to conservation organizations acquiring large rural tracts from forest products companies. Our success at accomplishing clients' operating and permitting objectives is reflected in their satisfaction and repeat business.
