Textile

SynTerra has worked on environmental problems for textile companies and their suppliers for the past 35 years. The industry has done a good job in reducing the amount of water per pound of product and changing to less hazardous chemicals. SynTerra has been a part of this effort, winning an Engineering Excellence Award in 1996 for a CO2 based neutralization system at Greenville Finishing that reduced chemical costs, improved treatment, eliminated system violations, and solved a major safety problem.

As the textile industry has moved much of their production off shore, SynTerra has assisted companies in Honduras and Mexico with complex compliance problems. However, there are still many plants in the United States that are surviving the difficult economic times by implementing cost controls while still maintaining environmental compliance. SynTerra salutes these facilities and congratulates their management, as we work with them to find even more cost-effective solutions to their environmental problems.
