Katherine has experience in environmental sampling, laboratory analysis, water quality research, ArcGIS technical analysis, and project implementation. She has applied her expertise in environmental science and chemistry to positions in retail management, science and engineering consulting, and winemaking. In municipal government roles, Katherine wrote policy reports, performed pollution prevention assessments, and provided public outreach.
She is an executive committee member of the South Carolina Chapter of the American Planning Association (SCAPA), a member of the American Planning Association (APA), and an AICP Candidate. She helps the Public Outreach Committee of the Reedy River Water Quality Group implement its plans and strategies. She is 40-hour HAZWOPER certified. Katherine holds a Bachelor’s degree in Organic Chemistry from Bates College (Maine) and a Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from Clemson University.
