Ecological Restoration Program Manager
Rich, a Professional Wetlands Scientist and certified delineator, leads the SynTerra Ecological Restoration Program. His team specializes in stream and wetlands restoration projects and permitting for development. Rich has more than 30 years of professional experience in stream and wetlands mitigation, mitigation banking, and other restoration projects. Before joining SynTerra in early 2019, he was the president of a wetlands mitigation firm with operations in Charlotte, NC, and Raleigh, NC. Rich is known for innovative designs and environmental stewardship related to the Clean Water Act and Endangered Species Act.
Rich is a charter member and past president of the National Mitigation Banking Association (NMBA) and the North Carolina Environmental Restoration Association (NCERA). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geology from the University of Colorado at Denver.
